Investment risk
Investing in stocks, exchange-traded funds and other securities involves risk, including the possible loss of your entire investment. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Prices can move sharply and unpredictably.
Leveraged, inverse and commodity ETFs
Leveraged and inverse ETFs reset their exposure daily, so over longer periods their returns can differ greatly from the stated multiple of the index, and they can lose most of their value. Commodity and futures-based ETFs are affected by roll costs, interest rates, government policy, supply shocks and geopolitical events, and can gap overnight. Margin products can lose more than your initial deposit.
Model and valuation risk
Valuation models simplify reality. Their outputs depend heavily on assumptions such as growth, margins, discount rates and terminal values. Small changes in assumptions can change results substantially. A model-derived valuation range is not a fair value, price target or forecast.
Data risk
Data from third parties can be delayed, revised, incomplete or wrong. Companies restate financial statements. Free or basic data plans may not cover every instrument.
AI risk
AI-written explanations can misstate, omit or over-emphasise information. They are labelled as AI analysis and should be checked against the underlying data.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for your investment decisions. Consider your objectives, financial situation and risk tolerance, and seek advice from a licensed professional where appropriate.
